How to Purchase an SGC SuperCerts SSL Certificate

Overview

A client asked us to install an SSL certificate on a specified domain, so we arranged to issue an SSL certificate through thawte, which is relatively inexpensive.
The procedure is described below.

Prerequisites

The following must be completed for the target domain.

• A CSR has already been generated.
• A DUNS number has already been obtained.
• You know the name, title, contact information, and company address of the client’s contact person.

Select the required items and click the “Next” button.

Entering the CSR

Supplementary server name entry
Confirm that the “Common Name” field is set to the target domain.

Confirming the server URL

Confirming organization information

Fill in the fields in the red box.

Entering contact information
The purchase completion email will be sent to the email address registered here.
Confirm the client’s point of contact, obtain the information to be entered, and register it.

Entering credit card information
Note: payment is by credit card only.

Order confirmation
Please review everything one more time.
If there are no issues, click “Submit Order” to complete the purchase.

After a few days, if there are no problems, the SSL certificate will arrive attached to an email.
